You are invited to a community meditation at Sims Lake Park, located at 4600 Suwanee Dam Rd, Suwanee, GA 30024 on Sunday June 25th at 8:30 am.
When you enter the park take the trails to your left. We will be in the meadow area below the pond at the front of the entrance. Because we will be sitting on the ground, I suggest in addition to your meditation pillow, using a yoga mat or something to keep your pillow dry in the event that the ground is wet. If sitting on the ground is not available to your hips or knees a folding chair would also work.
We will participate in a sitting meditation for 15 minutes, followed by a walking meditation around the park for 15 minutes. Please invite anyone else who might be interested. You do not need previous meditation experience as instruction will be provided. Depending on interest, I hope to offer group meditation with some regularity. I would appreciate a general idea of how many folks to expect, so please leave a comment below if you plan on attending and the number of guest. I will only update changes such as cancellations due to inclement weather on this blog post. Therefore, if the weather looks "iffy" the day of the meditation, please check back here. In peace - Diane
