Meditation Practice

Meditation Practice General Information

Join us for free community meditation sessions on the last Sunday of every month.

The agenda typically includes inviting participants to share the benefits or obstacles they have experienced in their meditation practice. The group share is followed by a discussion of the monthly meditation topic. Finally, the group will meditate together. The agenda is flexible, and discussion topics may be altered to accommodate the needs of participants.

All are welcome, whether you are a beginner, experienced meditator, or simply curious.

PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT ATTENDING  THE COMMUNITY MEDITATION IS NOT A REPLACEMNT FOR THERAPY.

THE INTENTION OF THIS PRACTICE IS TO PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR COMMUNITY  MEMBERS TO MEET AND PRACTICE TOGETHER.

Location: Depending weather conditions, we either meet at Sims Lake Park in Suwanee GA or in the office of Authentic-Life Counseling

Agenda: Our sessions typically begin with mindful sharing, allowing participants to discuss how their mindfulness and meditation practices have helped them or to ask questions about their practice. Each month, various topics related to meditation and mindfulness are presented. The topic discussion is then followed by sitting meditation.

Costs: There is no cost to attending the meditation. However, cash donations will be accepted and used to help the homeless of Pensacola, Florida. My brother, the Pirate,  and his wife, the Wench, provide basic needs such as food, water, hygience items and ocassionaly tents. Donations will be collected in a designated bowl near the space where we meet.
